What a night, some of my team, my mum and I had on Monday night! Having won Northern Ireland Hairdresser of The Year for a third time in 2021, on Monday night I was inducted into The British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame. Achieving this has been my ultimate goal throughout my career and I’ve done it!

Was delighted to be asked by Schwarzkopf to create a hairstyle for The Fellowship for their ‘Style Stage’

had a great interview live on stage with the lovely Michelle Griffin

My model, Ava prepped using Schwarzkopf Blonde Me shampoo and Blonde Me conditioner the night before. I sprayed Schwarzkopfs Session Label Hair Thickener into the hair and dried in with the hairdryer. Using GHD tongs I brick set the hair. Small sections were taken with my fingers and I rooshed the hair creating volume, texture and used Session Label hairspray to hold.

I placed the Light Golden Blonde Cha Cha Clip to finish

When this wonderful industry came together last night for The Hairdressers Charity Ball
I was genuinely speechless and humbled to receive The Jefferey Bonn Award for all my Charity work over the last few years. Jefferey passed away last year and was an inspiration for The Hairdressers Charity. I met his lovely wife and daughters after receiving this Award.
I would like to thank my team, family, friends and all of YOU that have generously donated to the Charity and supported events that we’ve held at the salon for which I and The Hairdressers Charity are truly grateful.

We’ve Won! ‘Best Regional Salon’ for the 2nd time, Hair Magazine Awards 2018

Hi Everyone,
This is Mitch Chalmers who I met back in February at the Hairdressers Charity Ball Mitch was left paralysed after a serous motorcycle accident in 2014. Mitch was a beneficiary from the charity who funded the remaining money needed to buy his standing wheelchair and help make his dream of becoming a Hairdresser come true.
I felt in my heart I wanted to help, so I contacted Mitch and asked if he’d any experience o…f putting ‘Hair Up’ and he didn’t. So, I decide to fly over and spend a different kind of day off, having fun, inspiring and educating Mitch with some basic techniques to give him confidence and encourage him to add another string to his bow in this wonderful industry.
No rollers, wands or tongs were used and these images were created today by Mitch which are amazing at his first attempt, I’m so proud! Mitch is an inspiration to us all having the belief of fulfilling his dream of becoming a Hairdresser. I’d like to thank the amazing Patrick Cameron for donating a Hair Up starter pack and dvd also.
